Happy Friday All! I read so many posts about healthy and well loved treats. As its summer, I gave my baby girls A frozen grape. They wanted nothing to do with it. So I gave them one cut in half. Still nothing. I just tried yogurt. Man, was Cutie mad. She was so upset she got something mushy on her beak. She kept wiping her beak and giving me such a look. I mixed it with the starter so it would be less sticky, but the gals have not touched it. What do you guys do to introduce a treat?

My chicks are 4 week old leghorns. They are still in the brooder, but have been outside to free range just once, yesterday.

Thanks so much for your advice.

I made special frozen treats for my girls because it is so hot here. Corn frozen in muffin tins, different kinds of fruit in muffin tins. They didn’t touch any of it. They are 5 months and 3 months old. I even tried watermelon. NOT!

LOL, mine is the opposite, they love watermelon, any vegetable I give them, of course, I never give them any kind of potatoes. Peas, spinach, kale, mustard greens, green beans, cabbage, and they love fruit, and squash and corn. They are not picky about it at all. Oh, you should see them eat pumpkin! I break it into small sections so they don't fight over it.

Lol! That's good to know! It's so funny, because I was more interested in the treats then they were. I was going to do the watermelon, too. I ll just enjoy it! Thanks for sharing!
