treats for 1-7 day old chicks

What can I give my babys for a treat?

I personally don't give treats when they are really small except for bugs I may find around- they go crazy over those!

i didnt give mine treats for a couple weeks but at 2 weeks Id think a little yogurt or scrambled eggs would be ok. But just a little.

Plain yogurt and chopped hard boiled eggs were my chicks first treats at about 10 days old.

I wait until 7-10 days. I feed chopped cooked egg, snipped grass or clover, cracker or bread crumbs. I also add grit at this time. I mix it with their chick starter - 10% grit.

If you give them anything besides Starter feed be sure to give them some Chick Grit. Chick grit is finely crushed granite grit. I smash some of my regular grit or you can buy it. My Tractor Supply store carries Chick Grit.

I never give the youngsters any treats until 3 weeks
then its hard boiled eggs with their
Hartz fine bird Gravel n'Grit. its very fine
