Treats for chickens?

I have 6 chickens that are all 9 weeks old we just had dinner and we have asparagus leftovers i am not yet supplying them with grit but i am soon going too if i can give my chikens treats what can i give them and can i give it to them without grit.

I never fed my chicks grit quite honestly o-O they'll do it themselves once they're older and didn't seem to take when I tried it. But treats like soft fruit, and wax or mealworms are their favorite! NO AVACADO it's poisonous to basically everything but us :/

Oh and yes asparagus is perfectly safe

Some are picky though. I have a weirdo in my flock who looks at me all insulted when I offer her a worm -_-
