Hi - I'm new to the forums, thanks for your welcome, I'd like to ask for some guidance from y'all as I plan to build our family coop here. We're starting from this tree fort/treehouse and are planning on building a coop out of it. As you can see, there's some fence work to be done in some areas.

I'll be building the coop under the tree fort.

Main areas of uncertainty:

1. Hardware fabric or chicken wire/nylon? Which should I use? We have a fenced yard, but, living in the city, we have possums and coons that could try to get in.

2. What should the flooring be made out of?

3. Any other pointers as I begin construction.

Hardware cloth or some heavy duty wire
I'd say sand for the floor, easy to clean & you can mix some sweet pdz in there if it starts to smell.
Just make sure everything is secure, no gaps for anything to get in there and get your chickens
