Tree Frogs

I love them! I have them "singing" at my pool every year from May till Sept. Once in a while I will see one, mine are the Northern Gray Frog. Quite large too.............

I have 2 that moved into a birdhouse in my front yard.

Most of the ones at our place are gray tree frogs... Don't let the name fool you, although most of gray tree frogs are actually grey, sometimes they are green.

I can hear the tree frogs, but it's the geckos that appear on our windows at night. When we moved into this house, though, I saw a tree frog climb into our table as we were moving it in. The way the table is set up, the frog would have been squished had we set down the table (it's a butterfly leaf), so I made my SO and FIL stand there holding the heavy thing while I went through several contortions trying to save the poor frog's life. I managed it, by gum. Lucky, I'd rather have them on my window than in my table.

They are such sweet creatures. I moved one a couple months ago from a bad spot and he just sort of sat there being carried around. I'm glad something so sweet can make it in this big carnivorous world.

When I lived in Florida, the really big grey ones would somehow get into my house.

My landlord's daughter was spending the night one day (she was 14 or 15, and would always watch scary movies with me, then be too scared to walk across the yard back to her house

). She was scared to death of frogs for some reason, and one had gotten in the house. Of course, my cats found it, and were playing with it, which made it do that squeeky thing they do. I was woke up in the middle of the night to a blood-curdling screem, all over a stupid frog

Of course it didn't help that we had just before bed watched a scary movie, she was scared to death!
