I have pretty much figured out how to go about constructing our chicken run. Just one last problem....I think. There is a tree in the middle of this run so it poses the problem of how to cover the run and keeping the enclosure secure against predators. Has anyone had this posed problem? I would love to see pictures of how you tackeled it! Oh, and this tree splits into 3 main branches, not just one!!! Maybe cutting down the tree would be better at this point, but I'd really like to keep it. Thanks for any input.

You could cut off 2 limbs and leave one or just use netting and wrap it around it. On some coop pages their examples of such situations.

I had this problem years ago. What I did was to frame walls around the tree inside the run. Then just run your wire around the framing and to the framing on the top. Allow plenty of room for the tree to grow if it's not mature.

Thanks for the ideas. Does anyone have pics or know of specific member pages with examples?
