I just noticed than one of my bantam brahmas toenails is curling up and is fairly long. How do you clip a hens toenails? What do you use? What can I do to get it to grow normally or will it just need to be clipped regularly? This thing is thin but about an inch tall. All the rest of her nails are normal. Good thing she is starting to molt or I might not have noticed it for a while. It was covered by her leg feathers. :/
Edit to add: it doesn't seem to be affecting her at all, I just don't want it to become a problem. The toe it is on I think didn't have a nail six months ago. I thought it was a genetic thing since I don't think the corresponding toe on the other foot has a nail.
