Tropic Thunder

Welcome!

What’s it like trying to get shipments from the mainland to Hawai’i? That must be fantastically expensive!
Have to order 2 weeks ahead so they can prep paper work

15$ usps livestock, but all you need is one broken down plane or postal worker to chuck it against a wall or flip it upside down and you have a box of dead chicks. I got lucky on that order, here in 48 hrs and the local post office called an handed it off to me out of the backdoor as it arrived off the truck. They don't want a box of chicks screaming all night dying.
Hatchery send's um out fine.. What usps journey they get- can be a blessing or a nightmare.

Ill let ya know ,my sis had her wild rooster flock stolen by teenagers to use as fighting birds. So i ordered her a squad of silkies 15..so will see if i get lucky again.

I'm sorry about your sister's roosters. Hope the silkies get the same luck as your shipment!

$15 and 48 hours, wow! When I lived there (1967-72), in those first years nearly everything came by ship and took forever. Dockworker strikes tied stuff up forever. Even we got there by ship (Matson Lines' SS Lurline) - 5 days and 4 nights.

Then came the Boeing 747, and everything changed forever.

Edit: oops, sorry, I thought I was on the other thread! 🤣
