Trouble hatching Silkie Eggs

I think I have been keeping my humidity too high too. The air cells seemed large enough though? Do you think that if the air cells seem fine then the chick will be fine?

I am so grateful to find this post right now.as I want to be putting eggs in an incubator soon and would have followed other instructions that would have had the humidity too high as well.

I do have a question though. For a still air incubator would you still suggest 30% humidity and 50 at hatch? Also is the 101 to 102 temperature that I've read suggested correct for silkies as well for still air incubators?

Yes on the humidity.

I use a still air bator and only keep mine at 100.

I have two digitals, that show temp and humidity in the bator. The temps are showing 2 degrees difference from each other, and a few degrees off from what the Bator is showing. The humidity is showing 10 percent difference. Id try looking online more, but apparently that would of killed new babies.

Do you know how to test/calibrate these dual digital things?

With it being winter, humidity in the house is high already. So I may run dry and still have to try to lower humidity in the bator. I saw on one post, rice may help. Open to suggestions/ideas here as well if you have any.

I do not know how to calibrate digital DUAL instrument.
I recommend getting a regular old school glass type thermometer to calibrate.
