Trouble with post notifications?

I'm having trouble with my post notifications. When I choose to watch a thread, or reply to a thread, I get notifications for a little while, but then they just stop appearing. When I find the thread, I see that there have been many new posts that I never got notified about. Is there a way to fix this?

Yeah, by viewing the thread when you get an alert. If you are watching a thread, and leave it unread after getting an alert for it, it will stop sending you alerts until you go back and read it.

I always look at the new posts though! That's why I'm confused. I always look at the thread once I get the notification, but then the notifications just stop, so I have to go looking for the thread.

If you're watching a busy thread...You must click on the first alert or you will not receive another one for that thread.
