which rooster to keep. I have a brahma rooster who is non-human aggressive, and is so much fun to watch with the hens. When I bring scraps down to them, he calls the hens over, or if they're with him, feeds them pieces of food. When I am near, he keeps his distance. He's the bird in my avatar. I also have three beautiful black roosters - a minorca, and either australorps, or JGs, or maybe one of each. Anyway, they're all slated for the butcher block unless I decided to keep one of them and butcher the brahma instead. I've had him for two or three years, and am trying to be practical. I may have - despite my best intentions not to - become slightly attached. I really have no use for both the brahma and one of the black ones, so I have to choose... I'm leaning toward the known factor - the brahma.
