I had a broody hen up until about two days ago. She had 16 eggs under her and did really well with them for quite some time. Then she just got up and walked off and left them! I didn't realize that she wasn't sitting on them at all until last night. When I candeled them, I saw that there were chicks in all of them. Four of them still had a couple veins that I could see and I put them in the incubator. Is there a chance they can be saved?

Where are you located. Did they freeze?

I dont think they froze. I'm in the Florida Panhandle (right where Hurricane Michael demolished everything just north of Panama City). She was sitting for 2 weeks that I know of. I noticed she was missing a few days before I found her with eggs. I could see what looked like chicks inside. I didnt see any veins in the majority of them, but I saw a few in the the four I have inside.
