I am trying to understand sex linked colors.
It looks like my black olive egger is going to end up being a rooster. So i was wondering if i bought a bunch of cream legbar or barred rock hens. Then could i technically breed them and end up with sex linked chicks. Or would that not work being the rooster would be a olive egger which is already a mixed breed?

Pic of my new little guy.

From what I understand (I could be wrong), sex-links can't produce sex-links.

ETA if your chick is sex-linked.

I don't know if being a hybrid by itself matters. I think the hybrid needs to be sex-linked for it to not produce sex-linked chicks.

No they won't be sex-links. He's single barred so breeding him to Cream Legbars or barred rocks will produce single and double barred sons, barred and solid daughters. to create sex-links using barring you need barred/cuckoo hens and a solid non barred rooster
