Anyone want to venture a guess as to what I have brooding here? They came out of the assorted Bantam bin. I think they get them from Meyer. My entirely uneducated guess would be OEGB on the little chipmunky ones, golden sebrights on the two dark ones, and maybe some sort of brahma on the little tan ones (they have rough legs, all others are clean). Am I in for any surprises?

I think you are exactly right. Based on my own experience with TSC assorted bantams, the dark colored chicks (golden sebrights) I think are girls. Let me show you:

I had two golden sebright bantams:

This light colored chick (above) ended up being a rooster.

This darker colored chick ended up being a hen.

You can see the obvious color difference in both genders. And the same thing has happened to their offspring.

Beautiful chicks you have by the way! Enjoy them, they don't stay small and fuzzy for long.

That's reassuring as the two darker ones have some fairly obvious color variation in their wings. The lacing on one is much more defined than the other. I was leaning toward that being an indication of sex and I just can't manage any more roos. Thank you for your help and kind words.

I just wanted to post a bit of an update. The two tannish, feather-legged chicks have developed "vulture hocks", so I am assuming they're some type of d'uccle. Anyone disagree?
