this is my temporary tub. is this okay? two ducklings will only be in it for a week until i can get them a bigger tub. i feel bad that it's so small though

I think it will be fine for two small ducklings

. They grow quick though, so you are right in wanting to obtain another tub. Ducklings are unbelievably tiny at two days old or so - I assume that's how old they'll be when you get them? Also, you'll probably have to wash that towel daily

. Ducklings poop a lot.
You should watch the heat, too. If they are huddled directly under the lamp, they are too cold. If they are as far away from the lamp as possible, they are too hot. If they are eating and drinking and just loafing around, then they are fine. Most people start the heat lamp at around 90* F, and then go from there and see which temp is just right for their ducks. You can adjust the temp by moving the lamp farther up or down..
You might want to make sure they can't drown in their water bowl.. Maybe add some rocks or marbles until they are big enough to not drown?

That might not hold enough water, because you cut the hole a little low. You can try it, though, and see if it works. But ducks, even the tiny ones, run out of water very quickly.

yeah i realized i cut it a little too low i can use the other side.
also i'm concerned the my temps aren't reaching 90* the ducks are more than a couple weeks old i know that for sure so i think they're only in the 80s for temps.
but even so with my lamp it's only 75*

Oh okay

Older ducklings don't have to have the temp at 90*. Normally, people lower the temperature 5 degrees as each week passes, and judges by their ducklings if it's too hot/cold. So a two week duckling can be at 85*. A three week duckling can be at 80*, etc.
