Turken

We have discovered that the naked necked little thing running around our coop annoying all the other hens is a Turken. Does anyone know anything about them? Do they lay well? She is younger than the rest so I attribute her behavior to being a teenager.....

Actually it is a Naked Neck, turken is just a fancy marketing term. Great layers, great broodies and wonderful moms. I have about 100 of them running around here total. As far as how she is acting that is pretty normal, I have three bantams that after they hatch chicke you do not reach down and pick the chicks up. The others are pretty laid back even with chicks running around. Mine will also foster other chicks that are not their's which is unusual.
