So my royal palm has been sitting on eggs for a month, my best mom hen, has been walking around crying for about 3 weeks. They are buddies.. Well the turkey is up high in a very small coop, Mom hen jumped up, and sat next to her. Last year, they raised a batch of turkey together. but I wanted to move them , it was too high. so when 3 hatched, I moved the mom chicken and the babies to another small area. I asked my daughter to clean out a bigger coop, and I would move both moms there. Well needless to say, she delayed, so mom hen and 3 babies, were alone for a day, and mom turkey was sitting on 2 eggs. today, I moved them all to a bigger coop., turkey was very upset to be moved.. I was very surprised she went in, walked around and seemed ok, was eyeing her eggs., A baby turkey came out from under the hen and started following her. It had been sitting under the chicken, I guess it recognized her voice? Then another came and sat under her. I pushed the eggs under the hen chicken. I was very proud of myself. I never thought I could get them all happy.. Well I came out a few hours later, they had moved a few feet over, moms and babies, but left the 2 eggs. I put eggs back under the hen, I am afraid they won't stay on top of them. Should I incubate them Can I do it tomorrow. Is one day without a hen on top going to be bad? They must be almost ready. I think I goofed moving the turkey, but I hadn't planned on stealing her babies. Should I incubate? Should I just keep pushing them under? I am surprised, she isn't interested in them she was devoted to the eggs. Any ideas.
