Turkey Babies

Should I be concerned about my female turkey not eating or drinking while she is sitting on her 15 EGG CLUTCH! She has came out 2 times and if all goes well they should hatch next week. Just concerned about mama. This is my first time with any babies, I don't have a rooster so my chickens are loners. For now.

Most times they will come out once a day or every other day.

To broody poop eat and drink. Some are really quick about it. Maybe she came off the nest and you didn't notice.

But if you are real worried set some food and water where she can reach it from the nest.

There are times some hens get in the broody mode so hard they do forget to eat and drink but its rare

Just keep an eye on her. Like Feedman77 said, they often are quick about it and it tends to be hard to catch them in the act. I have a hen though that will brood forever until she gets chicks and will literally starve herself. She's the only one like that though. As long as you're monitoring her, there shouldn't be a problem.
