Turkey Coop

Hello all-- I was thinking about converting this big shed I have into a chicken coop. I would only use half (because it is so big) and use the other half for turkeys. I would not let the turkeys and the chickens be together, they would have thier run on different sides. Would the turkeys still be able to contract the blackhead disease?

Have chickens ever grazed the area where the turkeys would be kept? If so, there'd be risk. Of course there are many people out there who free range chickens and turkeys together with no issue. Call you local vet and ask how prevalent blackhead is in your area...
