It's a bad cut, but not life threatening. Any ideas for the best way to tackle this?

I am not a veterinarian. This is just my opinion based of my experience...

I would advise to gently wash the wound, apply vetericyn wound ointment, bandage it with gauze and medical tape and then change the bandage once every day to every other day until healed. Watch for signs of infection (redness, swelling, discoloration, etc...). :) Hope the Turkey is all healed up soon!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking, I just wanted to see if you all had some extra advice. He's my one and only turkey, fully grown and he's a guard bird to the flock. I'm positive he'll be fine. He doesn't even seem to be aware of the cut, which is good and bad, haha.
