turkey egg fertail???

My hen laid her first egg today and i want her to hatch some out but i havnt seen the tom breeding her. so would the egg be fertail or should i remove it

Just because you havent seem them do the deed doesnt mean they havent If you are going to let her set and not incubate them let her lay the whole clutch and set. After the poults hatch she will abandon the nest and you can clean it out.

Hi,

I put hay in the nesting stall for my turkeys, always have so I can't say if she would make her own from surroundings though I would assume. Standard bronze can mate naturally so its possible its fertilized.

If its just hanging out on the ground I would grab it so it doesnt get trampled in the run. Turkeys like to nest in a sheltered area for protection, does she have a space for that?

Here is my little gas shed, something like that would make a fine shelter for your turkey.

Yeah she has shealter. do i need to put some hay in something under the shelter??

She has what ibelieve is a nest; some dirt pilled around one area but it is not under the shelter and this isnt where i found the egg.
