Ok I got some turkey eggs and they are on day 15 of incubation. When should I start seeing movement? I feel like most of them are bad.

Welcome to BYC. Can you post a picture of them being candled?

The red color and opaque area where light isn’t coming through the shell looks promising to me, a dud egg should glow green and allow light to shine through. The red means you have some blood vessel development and the shadowy area means something (embryo) is blocking the light. I mostly do quail eggs, little, dark, spotted, so don’t get to see cool stuff the chicken people take for granted, not sure how easy turkey eggs are to see through, not much detail in the picture so assuming they might be a little tough to see veins and movement In as well. Candle again in a few days and see if that opaque area grows, if so, that is a great sign.

In my personal experience you can’t usually see movement in a bright room with a phone flashlight, maybe in a dark one, but I’d recommend using a stronger light. The only time I’ll use a phone flashlight is to check for internal pips or development in the first week or so. So far this spring, I’ve had 2 eggs I assumed to be duds from my phones flashlight, but after using a real candler they have plenty of movement.
