I have 6 midget white turkeys,3 males and 3 females. They are about 3 months old, have been together since they were just poults. All of a sudden when I was watering, the three males started fighting and haven't stopped since. Been about 20 minutes or so. Do male turkeys at this age fight for alpha tom or should I be worried about something else. This is the first time I have ever seen them fight.

Yep! I hate when mine do that. I monitor them to make sure that it doesn't become violent or deadly. If it does, I break them up by physically picking them all up and placing them in different areas of the yard.

I had that prob too when i moved my 3 juvinles and adult Tom to a new pen except the two young hens also joined in and they all ganged up on my big tom . Took little Tommy out and put him by himself and the hens calmed down . So now i have big Tom and young hens in one pen and little tom in another and exspecting 5 new mature hens next week. Nar, eastern, black, palm and red bourbon. The youngsters are bourbon and Narr mixed.

I had the same problem tonight. My two MW and two RP toms (all 4 months old) are normally joined at the hip. The two RPs got into it, bloodying faces. Then when I picked up and moved one of the RPs and a MW Tom jumped in. Pretty soon they were all mixing it up while the 8 hens looked on. It was like trying to break up a street fight. They go into a mobile hoop house at night...I had to monitor for 20 minutes until they settled down.
