We have a pair of bronze turkeys, she's started laying and he's gobbling alot. it wasn't so bad at first, and i don't mind it at all, however our neighbors have expressed concerns.
Is there any way to reduce the gobbling? from my understanding he'll continue to gobble even after mating season, is this true?

We don't want to get rid of them, but at the same time, I don't want the city telling me I have to get rid of them which may bring scrutiny onto my chickens and rabbits.

You could buy ear muffs for the neighbors.

Yes they will gobble year round.

. Mostly they gobble in responce to other noises - dogs barking etc

Is there anyway to work out a deal with the neighbors? free eggs or something. There is another option if your hen is laying now so you can still keep turkeys. Hatch some eggs out, the poults won't gobble for awhile.
