turkey hen molting or sick?

i gota go to work soon but i gota ask, my turk hen is losing feathers by the hand full, is this normal molting? some other birds are losing feathers too but not like this (poor roo don't have a tail

) i thought birds molted in the fall but i could be wrong, could she be sick? she looks active and healthy, does she need more protean? she gets layer, oats, scratch and range
 
Turkeys molt during warm weather and are usually feathered back out by fall. They need all the feathers they can get when the cold weather begins. I have a bourbon Red hen who lost all her tail feathers but is already growing a new tail.
 
I've wondered about that. I've seen my turkeys lose a lot of feathers during the summer, but then do a full molt in the fall. I wasn't sure why that was happening.
