one of my 3 bbb turkeys has a 12 by 2 in. piece of skin missing from my tom breeding her but she also has a section of skin that been seperated from the meatthat kind of forms a pocket. ive clean this pocket of infection and rot out a few time now in the past week but was wondering if theres any type of antibotiac to give her or anything else to do with the wound. shes about 15lbs but havnt had a chance to wieght her lately and shes 1 yr old. if anymore info is need ill post it later i have to head to work now.

yea ive been making some for them. this is my first flock only had them a year and im learning as i go ive heard of saddles i just didn't think they would get injured this bad.

Hopefully, you've seperated her from the tom until she heals. Trim his toenails and spurs so that the other hens don't get injured.

yea she still with the chickens and other hens but the toms outside the pen. she seems to be doing aright but limps on the leg with that has the injury above it.

well even though i still havn't gave her any antibiotics besides the triple antibiotic ointmen t i put on it i figure i would give an update after cleaning the wound again yesterday i checked on it to day seem to be healing ok but still smells of rot and infection. i keep cleaning every other day so it looks like she might do ok.
