Is this a myth or a fact.

My older sister who is 19 is taking care of my aunts chickens.

My aunt told my older sister that her, 1 week 3 day old turkeys, need room temperature water.
I am kind of doubting this but I'm looking for opinions

It's not true. Most poultry prefer their water at around 55 degrees - this is according to actual scientific studies. Room temperature won't hurt them but they prefer it on the cool side.

Sometimes it's recommended to give young brooded poults warm water to keep the cold water from chilling them. I'm going to assume that's what your aunt was thinking.
