Turkey or peafowl?

To my surprise, I found this little one in my backyard this afternoon. We have no turkeys or peacocks in my neighborhood, so I don’t know how to explain this. My question is, is it a turkey or a peacock? I want to make sure I take care of it properly.

It's a turkey poult.

It is possibly a Wild turkey which would be illegal for you to have possession of it.
