We got I have a new red burbon we have had her about a month she is 10-12 months old. And she is laying but she is pacing and crying out right before she lays our Tom keeps looking at her like she is nuts. I am not sure what to do. They sleep outside so I thought the little housing area she would use as a nesting box but she runs around before she lays. And then she will 95% of the time lay inside the shelter and the other time just drop it where it lays. She also laid 7 days straight this last time and was only laying for 4 days and took a day off. Any idea what could be going on with her. They where feeding her chicken feed and dog food. We got her on gamebird/show bird food. 24% I know that made a difference in her yolk color. Could it effect her laying? Thanks in advance. O they are in a pen with a top on it. Not ever tall but that will change in the next week or two.

I have a eastern wild turkey she does the same thing before laying and makes a slight repetitive noise when she is about to lay. Ive read that turkeys and know mine like like to hid behind something to lay. She will hide behind the barrel I keep there food under
