Sorry you lost one. In general turkeys die more easily, and there is nothing you can do. I am a nervous wreck over my poults. they are being raised by their moms and they were born over 3 days so I got all worried and put the left over eggs, 7 with the other turkeys. I did not want the hens to sit on the next trying to hatch these while the babies should be learning to eat. They were born Monday , the first five and then every day got 2 more. they just started eating a bunch today. I am glad I held off from putting them with my cornish cross chicks. It would have been like being on mars for those poor little babies.
I put the food on a board , a 2 by 12 where they could see it. They are pecking at everything. I put worms in there, and the moms chowed those down, after they waited patioently for the babies to try for 10 secs. Worms are like candy bars. One hen took a strawberry and mashed it up. They love fruit, maybe sweet grapes finely minced. The sugar could perk them up and get them stoked on food.
