Uhh, yea..today I witnessed something that made me laugh, but definitely made me feel bad for the pullet! The girl squatted and was serviced by a cockerel. But as soon as he was done and hopped off, not a second later the turkey hopped on

Time to remove the turkey's head? I assume he can hurt her. If you're wondering, I removed her from under the turkey right after that pic. Thankfully she is a big, hefty girl and seemed no worse for the wear.

Two very good reasons to provide separate runs for the turks and chooks (other than concern for disease). 1. Toms can and do kill pullets/hens while indulging in interspecies sex. 2. Jakes/toms sparring is an activity insensible to any potential for injury by the participants to themselves, `bystanders'? even less so.

No need to finish him off, unless you're hungry. Just build him a sin bin to strut around in.
