Turkeys and chickens.

Someone once told me that turkeys and chickens don't mix. Because they can spread diseases. Is this true?

chickens can pass on blackhead disease to turkeys, I would suggest to researching your area to see if it is prevalent or not.. I have spoken to some breeders in my area and a hatchery and have been told they haven't heard of any cases of blackhead in my area. I would suggest doing to same. (I am getting turkeys in may and will be keeping them separate from my chickens just to be safe)
