I was thinking of raising a few turkeys for thanksgiving next year. Curious if they are difficult to raise and what breed would be best. Also they would have to get along with my chickens. Anyone have any suggestions?

I suggest you read up on the heritage breeds and see which would be more to your liking, Size and coloring are the 2 main differences, except wild and Palms are for lawn decoration and kind of stringy meat! If you want a really big turkey fast, say 4 to 6 months, there are also Broad Breasted Hybrid commercial breeds, Bronze and White, but they do not live long and do not mate naturally; they need to be artificially inseminated!
