Turkeys raising chicks

I had a turkey hen hatch only on baby due to a possum attack. I moved her to a safe pen. I also had some chickens hatch under another turkey (chickens laid hens in her nest) I gave the newly hatch chicks the the turkey hen and she took them! Now she has one turkey chick and six chickens. I would have never thought she would take them but she is such a good mama.
Anybody ever tried this before?

Yes, I did that last year and it worked with no problems.
