Hi I bought a pair of norfolk black turkeys a couple of days ago. They are in a closed in pen at the moment by themselves. I hope to put them in the same area as my 12 rescue chickens. They are very nervous at the moment and retreat to the back of the shed whenever I go near or enter.
Do you think they will become more friendly as time goes on?

Is this area adjacent to the chickens so they can all see each other?

Possible, though chickens carry diseases that will kill turkeys, so I'm not sure you want to mix them.
Blackhead disease is what chickens can carry with no symptoms and can kill turkeys.
@kizzistaff can call their local ag dept to see if blackhead is prevalent in the area.
