ok, i dont wanna wake up at 6 on the weekends so is it ok if on weekdays i turn it at 6am and on weekends i turn it at like 8am?

Yes, I turned mine when I woke up, walked by, when I just checked on them, and then before I went to bed. I didn't have them on a schedule. No wonder they are out of control!

it should not hurt them just turn an odd number of times a day

I read somewhere on the web that you should turn your eggs at least 4 to 6 times a day. If I happen to wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I go ahead and turn the eggs and go back to bed.

i dont turn mine but 2 times a day and i bet anybody i can hatch just as many chicks as they can turning more. just follow the basics to hatching its not hard and not as critical as many make it out to be. jmho...........johnny not ment to be a smarty .

Odd numbers will help them (the embryo) not stick to a certain side of the shell ...gives them a better chance if its odds....(An odd number of turns insures that the position of the embryo overnight will be staggered from day to day)...I'm not here to see if I can hatch out more chicks than you , I'm here to give advice to newbies on the correct way to hatch a chick out without problems....take it or leave it....
