I'm just starting to research incubating and am not sure whether to make my own or buy a Hova Bator. I'm not really sure how the automatic turners work in the Hova Bator but I do know it adds additional cost to the unit. Instead of buying the turner, would it work to simply prop up one side of the bator with a piece of wood and just rotate that around the bator during the day?
