Turning my roosters into meat birds

I have heard that I need to "clean" my roosters system prior to processing them. They have been on the same feed as my other chickens but just realized all red rangers we got are roosters, so we are wanting to meat bird them. Do I need to do anything special to them?

Not sure about cleaning their system....but they could probably use some fattening up. Here are some old threads where that's discussed:

It is possible that the reference is to not feeding them 12hours + before processing. One does not want the poop when processing, you want the bird 'Clean"
