Turtle egg treat

My neighbor was preparing two turtles for a batch of snapper soup. One was a female with a couple dozen marble sized egg yolks and many smaller ones. None with shells.

I fed the larger size yolks to my three adult hens. They gobbled them all down in seconds. I was amazed how fast they ate them.

The neighbor only makes snapper soup once a year so this was a rare treat for the girls.
