A co-worker has offered me 4 turtle vents for the roof of my 8x8 shed that's turning into a chicken coop. Before I research how to install a turtle vent (or even what a turtle vent is), will that work to ventilate a chicken coop?

So I would have two 12"x12" vents on the gables and 4 of these turtle vents for 6 chickens.

These are 'turtle' vents:

They could work OK, until they get covered with snow, just like ridge vents.
Eave and gable vents would be better for winter, IMO.
