hello,
our sultan chick is just over 2 wks old and her whole right leg like almost seems like the hock joint is backwards. we have tied her feet together from 2 days old because all it was a first was splay leg. after about a week old we thought it was a Slipped Achillies Tendon but thats not it eaither because she dosent hold her leg up like its in pain. so we put her in a sling from Monday untill Friday and put a pipe cleaner at the joint to push that out and one wrapped around her feet to pull them in. we thought it was working but she lost alot of muscle so we made a jolly jumper type thing for her and kept her in her sling to hold her up so she could walk and bounce while being supported but she sat there and wouldnt try to walk. Saturday we took her out and tied her feet together with string and she was really good , standing and walking much better. not 2 days later she cannot get around well and the leg is right back twisted backwards. we also have been adding supplements to her water.
if anyone can help in any way that would be great!

it can bend normally also but she just wont do it normally

You are doing all that you can. I can't offer much help because you seem to have the situation well in hand. You can keep trying to find a fix that will work on the leg, but you can only do so much. Keep trying! And good work so far. It may not be successful, but that's not for lack of trying. I hope you find something that works.

Oh, and in case you didn't have this link:

She went to the vets today and they x rayed her and found it was a deformity and in her bad leg she has an infection that was passed down from her mom so she is on antibiotics for the next 6-8weeks. What they found out was that in a normal leg at the hock there is 4 bones around the joint but in her bad leg she is missing them. They said eventually the infection would have killed her thankfully it got caught in time. I guess we can't fix it but they said she was defenatly a fighter and will probably learn to thrive. Other then the leg she is in good health.
Were keeping our fingers crosses that she will make it, and that she's a hen after all this lol
