Twisted toe, doesn't seem serious but...

My Australorp has a badly twisted middle toe on one of her feet, it actually overlaps the toe next to it sometimes. However, it doesn't seem to bother her and she runs and roosts fine, what causes this?

maybe birth defect or vitamin deficiency like rickets

She should be fine...I had a hen that had only one straight toe and she got around fine.
