Hello everyone. I bought some birds from my boss. Partly because we wanted fresh eggs again, and partly because they will sit on eggs a lot. I have never had the pleasure of having broody hens so this is a first since everything I had before were hatchery stock. My question is this. I have two broody hens and they are both attached to the same clutch of eggs. Just candles and they are coming along fine, even the duck eggs. Is there going to be a problem once they start hatching? I sure don't want my new chicks, some of which will be full blooded golden phoenix, being killed in a competition for who is the mommy. One of the problems is the clutch of eggs has gotten so large that I need both to sit on them. I have tried moving some but she will not go to them. Any advice would be much appreciated.
