1) We are very fond of our one cockerel, Belushi. A naked neck “pullet” that seems to be a mix. Any ideas on him?
We will have to re-home any other cockerels and are lucky enough to have a sanctuary in our area.
My confusion is with the brown or light brown Leghorn. I have pictures throughout development. This pullets comb turn red earlier on. He is darker than the other two leghorns. That being said — there wasn’t any black on the chest. I’ve read myself into complete confusion and have viewed many photographs. Looked at hackle and tail feathers, etc.
I’m going to post photos and hope to find some solid answers so we can make some decisions as we are attached and would prefer to separate sooner than later.
Approximately 13 weeks old. My thanks in advance for any help!
The last two are of one of the other light brown Leghorns? Supposedly? And don’t mind our dog, Freja. She’s great with them when they are outside the run foraging. Also Belushi’s sister — Lucille and our old lady Ruth with some watermelon rind, who thinks they are all horrible. That’s for another post!
