Alright so I am entering a meat pen category at the fair. Sadly enough I was on vacation when the order of Cornish Crosses came in. When I got there all they had left was some Buff Orps, and some Australorps. (not sure if I spelled that right)
I took some of both, because I wasn't sure which ones grew the biggest the fastest. I am sad I missed my chance at the Cornish. Cause I was sure I would win. I have the best looking chickens around cause mine are free range. But I don't think these breeds will be even comparable to the other peoples Cornish Crosses. Well I am feeding them all the time. And hoping with lots of care and good food they will grow quickly. But anyway.
What breed do you think will grow the fastest and the biggest? Australorps, or Buff Orps?
