two eggish questions...

my darlings were hatched mid march....when should I start to think about eggs? And how do you teach them to lay in the nesting box? thanks o'helpful ones

what kind of chickens do you have? My chickens started to lay at 17 wks. To help them lay in nest boxes we a fake egg in each box so they know where they should lay.

Mine at 16-17 weeks. Red Sex links. Some others don't lay until 20-22 weeks. golf ball in the box also works.
