Two eggs...1 Fertile

I only have 2 goose eggs in which I think only one is fertile since it is heavier then the other.
Can geese thrive being the only bird? what should I do? I'm not 100% sure if it is because I just feel it is because it does feel heavier then the other.

Weight has nothing to do with fertility. I have had several geese hatch only 1 baby and they do fine. However, they do need a couple of friends if you raise them yourself. A word of caution. Too much attention may cause the baby to get too comfortable and become aggressive.
