I have two gangs of birds 3 and 3

buff orps - 2 hens one rooster

black copper roo and two hens

they coop together but roam in separate packs, if I am able to keep my roos does this work out for roos and hen ratio or will i have to give the girls a break from their respective boys. thinkng also that nature will take over and the roos will go for girls in both groups- if so, will that cause too much commotion with only four hens between the 2 roos?

I'm afraid you are going to end up with overmated, stressed out hens. Roos aren't too particular about breed. To them, a hen is a hen is a hen.

yeah, thinking that might be a problem. got something else to research. hahah. I don't want to have issues like that.
ahhh i see your byc page. rooster reform. cool bblbl.

congrats on upcoming nuptials!

He got kicked in the head by a cow when he was about 6 weeks old. I think she kicked his brains out.
My wolfhound is a mix. Gonna get her DNA tested soon. I just HAVE to find out where her big pointed ears came from.
