We have two german shepherd puppies up for adoption to a good home. They are approximately 9 months old, have their rabies shots and the other ones too. We've had them since they were six weeks old and raised them with the chickens, but for some reason they've been trying to eat ours and since they haven't succeeded have made their way out of our property (it's completely fenced in, they've dug holes) onto our neighbors and have eaten TWO CHICKENS. Since the accident we've kept them leashed up in our property, but my husband is the kind that HATES to have an animal tied up. He is of the belief that they should be able to roam our property freely and thrive that way, but these two puppies are just not abiding by our rules. They are fine with out sheep, not harming them in any way or form, but the chickens they look upon as treats.

Here they are at 6 weeks:

Have you considered running a hotwire top and bottom? We have a Houdini that it put a stop to immediately, and I managed to set it up within an hour never having run an electric fence before. They are also economical, ours was less than $40.
