Hi y'all,

I'm hoping that someone can help me with this.

I have a small flock (five chucks and two BBW turkey girls - all are pets). The turkeys are two years old, sisters, both of whom I raised from hatchlings.

One of them is very sweet (Molly) and the other has turned mean (Milly). I've caught Milly various times beating up on her sister (and she pecks us to boot), and today when I went out to the coop, she'd pecked the back of Molly's neck until it was red and bleeding in addition to having her pinned down. I brought Molly in, cleaned her up, and she is now resting comfortably in my mudroom.

I have never (in my life) put down a healthy animal - but - I am at a loss as to what to do with Milly.

Suggestions?

thanks!

Janice

I know that this sounds crazy but when I bought turkeys to add to the 3 I had, I had to keep the tom from fighting them. I took a fly swatter and would whoop his butt. Not beating him but swatted him....It worked!!!
